I am Panos Karantousis, Head of Education at Maevious.
My journey in education started in London in 2016. After serving many communities as a teacher and as a Head of Mathematics, I realized that a great many students with fantastic potential were not getting the support they needed — for one reason. High-quality tutoring was priced out of their families’ reach.
Our motto has always been that every child should achieve their full potential. If that is true, then the teaching that gets them there cannot be a luxury good. So we built something that is not — first in the UK, and now, as Maevious US, for families in America.

State-certified
Every teacher holds a current US state teaching certificate. Not a tutoring certificate, not a subject degree alone — the credential required to teach in an American public school.
Degree-qualified in their subject
A bachelor's degree in education or in the subject they teach.

A criminal background check, without exception, before they ever meet a student.
